  • Since 2022, our daughter, Shea, has had the privilege of being coached by Payton Bierk, whose influence on her skating and personal growth has been nothing short of extraordinary. Payton is not only Shea’s head coach but also her choreographer, stylist, mentor, and biggest supporter. Payton’s dedication shines through in every detail—from choreographing Shea’s programs and coordinating with her dance instructor to thoughtfully selecting costumes, hair, and makeup that create a polished, cohesive presence on the ice. Beyond the technical and artistic, Payton offers unwavering emotional support, guiding Shea through the highs and lows of competitive skating with empathy, wisdom, and encouragement. As parents, we deeply value the collaborative relationship we share with Payton. She communicates openly and consistently, partnering with us to identify opportunities that support Shea’s continued development. Together, we’ve built a strong and supportive team. Under Payton’s expert guidance, Shea has achieved remarkable milestones. She is a two-time Excel National Qualifier and Medalist, earning the Pewter Medal in Excel Preliminary Plus in 2024 and becoming the Excel Juvenile Plus National Champion in 2025. She is also a 2024–2025 National Qualifying Series (NQS) Competitor. In addition to her competitive achievements, Shea is a Gold Medalist in Skating Skills (Moves in the Field), has passed Intermediate Singles, and is currently training Pre-Silver Ice Dances. These accomplishments are a testament to the hard work, trust, and mutual respect between Shea and Payton. Their shared commitment has created an uplifting, empowering environment that continues to shape Shea into both a stronger skater and a more confident young woman. We are incredibly grateful for Payton’s impact on Shea’s life and look forward to many more seasons of growth and success together.
